Execute the following commands in the Jupyter notebook.
The issue occurs when one deletes the files using the delete icon from UI.
It gets loaded up in the trash and does not free up space
Here is how you can delete your files permanently and free up space
(sorted in descending order of space occupied)
%%bash TRASH_DIR=/mnt/disks/user/.Trash-1000/files/ [[ -d $TRASH_DIR ]] && du -had 1 $TRASH_DIR | sort -hr || echo "No files in Trash"
Be careful while using this command.
rmcommand will delete files and directories permanently.
!rm -r /mnt/disks/user/.Trash-1000/
